Megan Stephenson is the newest member of our Spine Team. Megan has obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from UC Santa Barbara where she studied Biology. Following that she has spent 3 years in clinical practice working both as a scribe and a medical assistant.
After that Megan has completed The Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital Physician Assistant program – a rigorous Master of Science program that fully integrates the educational components of the two institutions.
Megan functions as an integral part of the Spine Team both in the office setting, seeing consultations, directing non-operative care and following the patients after surgery. She also functions as a First Assistant in the operating room both at St. Mary’s Medical center, California Pacific Medical Center and San Mateo Surgery Center.
Megan also participated in the ongoing clinical trials as a clinical research coordinator. She functions as a liaison between the study sponsor, hospital IRB, the principal investigator and co-investigators, as well the study participants. The ongoing clinical trials at our Spine Center include the TOPS device (Premia Spine) and SI fusion for spinopelvic fixation for long deformity constructs (SI Bone).
